Accepting A Job Offer

When you get offered the job that you want you should ask for the offer letter to be sent to you so that you can then follow the process of accepting the job offer or declining the job offer. It is more than likely that you will have to work your notice period but providing that your new employer is keen for you to start then you could start as soon as possible.

Whether you are accepting the job offer or declining the job offer you should always:
• Respond including the name, address and date.
• Thank the employer for the offer.
• State whether you accept or decline the offer.
• Arrange a start date that is convenient for both parties (if you are accepting the offer).
• End on a positive note.
• Say that you are looking forward to joining the team (if your accepting the offer).

After you have sent a formal reply accepting the job offer you should keep in touch with your new employer whilst working your notice. You should try to find out as much as possible about people in your new department in order to make your first day easier.

If you need any help with accepting the job offer please do not hesitate in contacting one of our Recruitment Consultants.
