Web Designer Up to £25,000 + benefits, depending on experience Based in Liverpool An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Web Designer to join our busy Internet Department based at our Head Office in Liverpool. As the Web Designer, you will be responsible for the layout, visual appearance and usability of the Company website ensuring that brand continuity is maintained. Key accountabilities include: • Designing and delivering a website in keeping with the Company’s brand position, trading calendar and commercial requirements • Designing a website that will be attractive to our customer base which has a logical navigation system and contains all the features required • Deciding on how images and other material will be digitally optimised and presented, ensuring accessibility for all customers • Testing the website for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions The ideal candidate will be flexible with excellent attention to detail and proven experience of working in a small team. You will be working in a fast paced, dynamic environment so should be used to working under pressure and to tight deadlines. Attention to detail is essential along with strong communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently both internally and externally. You will have experience in working in a cross functional environment in order to achieve your departmental KPI’s. Proficiency in using a PC is essential, along with experience of graphic design packages such as Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Flash & Photoshop; however, full training will be given on our in-house systems. 2 years experience of working as a web designer/web developer is essential and having gained this working in a retail/E-Commerce environment would be an advantage.
