Technical Project Manager – £35k - £40k basic per annum + benefits - Staffordshire, Midlands, Cheshire Reporting to the Head of Infrastrcutre the successful candidate will successfully coordinate the delivery of IT infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for scoping projects, developing business cases, ensuring that business changes are managed utilising a methodical and structured manner appropriately to ensure delivery. You will lead cross-functional teams, identify risks and issues, deliver effective communication, manage project budgets and produce relevant documentation. Other responsibilities include: • Produce and maintain the Project Plan and Project Stage Plans • Creation and maintenance of the project filing structure in line with agreed standards • Collection and analysis of project data for presentation to the Project Board at key decision points • Production of Exception Plans at the request of the Project Board • Definition and implementation of Project Controls • Capturing and examining project risk and issues and for taking the appropriate action, including escalation to the Project Board. • Creation, Authorisation and Monitoring of work packages to be undertaken by team managers/members many of which will be 3rd party suppliers. • Planning for quality, and quality control within the context of the identified products • Reporting of progress and issues to the Project Board • Controlling the Project budget as allocated. • Ensuring that each project is taken through the Operational Acceptance process prior to going live. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to plan effectively and complete his/her own workload. He/She must be detail oriented, able to work independently with good inter-personal skills and with the ability to communicate and present clearly and confidently to colleagues and customers.
